Key Account Manager (Channel Manager)

Execute the strategy of the company in Spain and Portugal by expanding Modern Trade, Pharma, Traditional Trade in close coordination with General Manager Europe and other internal and external stakeholders aligned to budget plan so as to maximise Revenue & Profitability Growth. Formalize a detailed Sales & Distribution plan to establish client’s company as one of the main players in above sectors in Spain and Portugal.

Location: Spain & Portugal


Set up an effective distribution network with the distributor(s) for the company in above sectors across Spain and Portugal, meeting specific timelines.

Initiate activities in the market to attain top of the market visibility and excitement to build the base for getting best market shares.

Monthly secondary sales reporting by categories, units, value. Make recommendations to the regarding business development activities and how the company can improve the marketability of its products in target markets.

Coordinate with Marketing Team regarding market and competition feedback and interacting with Marketing & Research companies. Help improve market & consumer understanding of the Marketing Team, and also update them on new product arrival in the market, new packaging concepts etc.

Develop effective Sales Forecasting & Trend Analysis process to avoid shortages/ surplus of inventory in the market.

Coordinate with distributors’ team, and regulatory team on all regulatory documentation, development of all new artworks etc. to ensure efficient execution of product/ packaging changes and new product launches.

Business case development for new product launches in Spain and Portugal.

Regularly interact with Logistics department to ensure a healthy supply chain to ensure effective monitoring and timely collaborative decision making to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.

Regularly liaise with existing customers in the company's target markets to ensure that they continue to be satisfied with the company's products and that these are being sold to the best advantage. Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.


Master's degree

At least 8 years mixture of mass market (FMCG) and pharmacy channel (OTC, food supplements) successful experience. Proven key account management of mass market key customers/retailers/chains in Spain & Portugal, and main pharmacies/pharmacy chains, and pharmacy wholesalers in Spain & Portugal
